Finally! A New Design for cfblog

Out with the old and in with the new. I finally decided to update my blogs look and feel. So jumping on the band wagon of web 2.0 icons, I started to re-design the site.

And here it is! It’s taken me about 30 hours of work and lots of late nights, but I’m quite happy with it. The hardest thing I find when designing is coming up with an idea.So I spent quite awhile browsing sites to get some inspiration.

I use BlogCFC by Ray Camden (can’t wait for version 6 ray), and needed to modify a few bits of code so that the design worked. I also tweaked various files sp that the site now passes the W3C validator for xhtml 1.0 strict.

Within the next few days I’ll post a tutorial on how I created some of the graphics and also provide the .psd (photoshop files) for them.

I’ve still got a little bit of work to do on this and that, but the main bulk has been achieved.

Let me know what you think.
